Zephyr Lane Elementary Home

About Us

Zephyr Lane Elementary School was built in 2014 and is currently the largest school in the Fairfax School District.  Home to the Hurricanes, where we take pride in being a hub for the community.  We provide a welcoming and safe environment for students and families to come together.  Zephyr Lane Hurricanes are known for their HEART; Hard-Working, Empathetic, Authentic, Responsible, and Trustworthy.  Zephyr Lane implements fun and engaging educational resources, activities, events, and community outreach.  Our staff welcomes parents with open arms to partner with them and support our students.  It takes a village to raise our children and Zephyr Lane is honored to be a part of it.  HURRICANES HAVE...  HEART!

Principal's Message

Dear Zephyr Lane Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! It is my continued honor and privilege to serve as your Principal. At Zephyr Lane Elementary, we remain deeply committed to fostering a strong school culture that promotes academic excellence, student well-being, and a vibrant sense of community.

We believe that student success is built on strong partnerships between school, home, and the broader community. Your involvement is not only welcomed—it’s essential. Together, we can ensure every child receives a high-quality education in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Throughout the year, we will host a variety of events that bring our community together, including Family Picnics, Movie Night, Back to School Night, Open House, School Carnival, Family Nights, Awards Assemblies, and other engaging activities. We hope you will join us in these celebrations of learning and community.

There are also many meaningful ways to get involved at Zephyr Lane. Whether by volunteering in your child’s classroom, joining our Booster Club, participating in the School Site Council, or being part of the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), your voice matters and makes a difference.

As an educator, I remain passionate about literacy and am dedicated to supporting the diverse learning needs of all students. With our strong academic programs and a caring school climate, I am confident that this will be a successful and joyful year for every student.

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Zephyr Lane! I look forward to collaborating with you and celebrating the growth and achievements of our students.

Sincerely,

 Pam Stanley
